UNITE-LA attended the Metropolitan Water District’s (MWD) inaugural summit, a landmark event focused on the role of education, technology and cross-sector partnerships in shaping an inclusive and future-ready workforce.

UNITE-LA’s Luis Reyes, senior coordinator, Programs, participated in the panel, “The Future is Community: Partnerships for Opportunity Without Limits,” alongside leaders from the Water Replenishment District, Homeboy Industries and the L.A. County Department of Mental Health. The summit brought together educators, workforce experts and water industry leaders to explore innovative strategies for training and career access, while promoting the water sector as a vital and resilient career pathway.
