UNITE-LA Today: UNITE-LA Participates in SoCal Grantmakers' Webinar

UNITE-LA’s Senior Vice President of Education Policy and Public Affairs, Sonia Campos-Rivera, had the honor of facilitating a critical dialogue that included philanthropic leaders, public agencies and nonprofit leaders around the federal and state budget implications and its impacts to communities.

From D.C. to Sacramento: What Changing Budgets Mean for L.A.’s Children and Families, sponsored by SoCal Grantmakers, Center for Strategic Partnerships and the LA Partnership for Early Childhood Investment (of which Sonia is a member of the executive committee) virtually convened more than 130 partners who walked away with an improved understanding of budget negotiations, impacts to communities and ways we can all lean in to safeguard the progress that has been made for historically marginalized Angeleno families. UNITE-LA is proud to serve as a thought partner among a diverse group of stakeholders committed to improving and protecting families and ensuring they reach their max potential.
