On May 8, UNITE-LA joined the Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) on their monthly advocacy trip to Sacramento.

As co-chair of their Education Committee, Humberto Estratalán, director of Public Policy for UNITE-LA, elevated numerous education and workforce development policies UNITE-LA is working on, specifically, our co-sponsored bill AB 753 (Garcia). This bill aims to help alleviate the state’s ongoing early childhood education workforce shortage. UNITE-LA met with Senators Caroline Menjivar, John Laird and Catherine Blakespear and Assemblymembers José Luis Solache and Diane Dixon.
