Los Angeles County has released its first-ever Digital Equity Roadmap, a three-year action plan to expand access to broadband, devices, AI literacy and workforce development across the region. As a member of the County's External Stakeholder Advisory Team, UNITE-LA worked alongside the Internal Services Department (ISD) and regional cross-sector partners to ensure workforce equity and economic mobility remained central to the strategy. The resulting roadmap establishes a shared framework for coordinated action across public agencies, community organizations and industry leaders to strengthen how Angelenos connect to vital tech infrastructure and high-growth opportunities.
The roadmap marks an important milestone for digital inclusion in Los Angeles County while creating new opportunities for continued cross-sector collaboration. Its priorities provide a framework for partners to strengthen access to technology and digital skills, expand digital navigation services and connect more residents to education, workforce and career opportunities.
Implementation of the roadmap will officially launch in October during National Digital Inclusion Week at the L.A. County Connected: Digital Equity Roadmap Action Summit. UNITE-LA will join partners from across the county to help translate the roadmap’s priorities into action and advance a more connected and digitally equitable region.
