Two members of UNITE-LA’s team were recently appointed to two key Boards of the CA state Cradle-to-Career Data System (C2C). C2C was named in state legislation to be California’s source of actionable data and research on education, economic and health outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
Adam Gottlieb, UNITE-LA’s director of Postsecondary Strategy & Policy, is on the C2C Community Engagement Advisory Board, which is responsible for examining whether the office is creating strong feedback loops with data users, supporting evidence-based decision making and analytical capacity and ensuring equitable access to actionable information. This board will create learning and engagement opportunities across the state and advise on best use of the budding system moving forward.
Dr. Lisa Catanzarite, UNITE-LA’s vice president of Research & Evaluation, is on the C2C Data and Tools Advisory Board, whose charge is to ensure that the data elements, dashboards, query tools and deidentified research datasets provide actionable information for practitioners, students, families, adult learners, workers, CBOs, researchers and advocacy organizations.
Both Adam and Lisa join a number of UNITE-LA partners on these boards, which will convene regularly in Sacramento. We are grateful for their participation!
