Partner Spotlight: Catalyst California

For more than 20 years, Advancement Project California has created significant impacts in both Los Angeles and California by advocating for racial justice by building power and transforming public systems. To do so, they have partnered with communities of color, have conducted innovative research and developed policies for actionable change and shifted money and power into our communities. In September, Advancement Project CA announced its evolutionary step to rebrand itself as Catalyst California and separate from its national office. Founded in 1999 by former NAACP Legal Defense Fund lawyers Penda Hair, Molly Munger and Constance L. Rice, along with attorney Stephen R. English, the organization has achieved monumental impact in the fight for racial and economic justice. We look forward to continuing to create systems change in L.A. and CA by addressing systemic racism and working to create an equitable public education system for all.
