UNITE-LA hosted L.A. Cash for College Super Saturday events at Los Angeles Harbor College and West Los Angeles College last month. It was an ambitious undertaking that supported more than 1,400 students and their families in greater Los Angeles.

Some highlights include:

• A total of 13 sites hosted workshops during this Super Saturday.
• Our two regional homesites (WLAC and LAHC) assisted nearly 400 students with the FAFSA and CA Dream Act Application (CADAA).
• Awarded 10, $500 scholarships to students in the south and west regions.
• Provided 22 tech devices to students collectively at both sites.
• Held 19 financial aid and career ready presentations, including our UNITE-LA Programs Open House, CADAA Ready in Spanish and CADAA Ready in English.
