UNITE-LA was proud to partner and support California Forward and the California Stewardship Network in the development of their annual California Economic Summit, an ongoing movement to make the government and economy work for everyone. The annual, two-day summit was designed to create a shared economic agenda, discuss the Roadmap to Shared Prosperity and set the stage for collective action in the coming year.

UNITE-LA’s Senior Vice President of Education Policy and Public Affairs, Sonia Campos-Rivera, facilitated a session focused on child care, early learning and the economy (the first of its kind at the Summit), which UNITE-LA co-developed as co-chairs of the Education & Workforce Work Group. She also provided remarks at the Summit’s broader Education & Workforce session, elevating the intended impacts of the L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative and the Golden State Pathways program to build stronger, more equitable talent pipelines for all Californians. Watch the recap video on the 2023 California Economic Summit.
