Last month, UNITE-LA submitted public comment on California's Unified Strategic Workforce Development Plan (State Plan) for Program Years 2024-27.

The State Plan signifies that the core partners recognized in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) agree to commit to a framework for the development of public policy, fiscal investment and operation of the state workforce and education system. Our statement calls for prioritizing investments and policies in education and workforce development over the next four years, aimed at advancing economic mobility for California's students, working families and industries.

UNITE-LA was also proud to sign on to two support letters from coalition partners, the CA EDGE Coalition and the California Immigrant Policy Center.
