Last month, UNITE-LA attended the CalAsian Chamber's 9th Annual California Policy Summit, hosted in partnership with California Forward and Small Business Majority. The Summit focused on supporting diverse, small business communities to fully participate in a decarbonization economy amidst the "just transition," which encompasses the formation of new industries as a part of the shift to a carbon neutral economy. UNITE-LA elevated the need for investments in education to support a strong, equitable future workforce for clean energy jobs. The discussion will continue at the CA FWD Economic Summit on Oct. 27-28 in Bakersfield.
