Members of UNITE-LA's Policy Team participated in the California Stewardship Network's (CSN's) inaugural Workgroup Leads Retreat in April to build connections across other work groups and policy areas and identify opportunities for collaboration in preparation for the fall summit.

The workgroups are a critical vehicle for developing and advancing the organization's policy agenda. They convene throughout the year to develop priorities and related recommendations informed by stakeholder groups and external partners. UNITE-LA has served as proud co-leads of the Education & Workforce Group to strengthen collaborative cradle-to-career efforts and inform the annual California Economic Summit. During this retreat, Education and Workforce Development was elevated as an important area for cross-pollination with several of the other workgroups, including climate change and housing.
