Last month, UNITE-LA National Strategic Partnerships (NSP) team members were in York, Pennsylvania, supporting the Economic Mobility for Rural Workers in-person convening.
The cohort, made up of rural and rural-serving chambers, is 12 months into the 18-month program. Participants heard presentations from the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA) on using data to create more equitable communities. They had a working session on crafting compelling stories facilitated by UNITE-LA consultant Ed Coghlan; and heard from Dexter Freeman, Senior Director of Business Coalitions, on how each community can begin to look at their work in the broader aspect of changing workforce development systems and the role chambers can play.
