UNITE-LA’s Senior Director of Workforce Development, Heddy Nam, was interviewed by Marketplace about the value of short-term credentials, rather than a two- or four-year degree, as a way for people to connect with better-paying, middle-skill jobs. She highlighted the importance of empowering people with information about training options so they can make better, informed decisions. To make that happen, UNITE-LA is working with Credential Engine to build an open-source credential data registry to fuel tools and efforts to support students and workers in education and career planning.
