Earlier this year, UNITE-LA held its inaugural Business Interest Policy Survey to gauge business organizations' policy interests around cradle-through-career Education & Workforce Development (EDWD).

Twenty-eight business organization partners throughout L.A. County and California participated in the survey. Almost 90 percent of the key business organizations surveyed are at least partially engaged with EDWD work at present. However, most business organizations have limited capacity for this work, with 60 percent having less than one FTE engaged in EDWD. Based on the survey findings, UNITE-LA has compiled a set of recommendations that is being actively shared with business organizations to consider as they seek to advance critical EDWD work.
