The Policy Team has worked closely with Valley Industry & Commerce Association (VICA) over the last few weeks.

Humberto Estratalan, director, Public Policy at UNITE-LA, co-chaired the VICA education committee meeting in early May and provided an overview of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) bill, which the committee voted to advance for formal board support. AJ Lucas, manager, Public Policy at UNITE-LA, participated in VICA’s annual Sacramento trip in May, hosted in partnership with the California Chamber of Commerce, and we look forward to discussing deepening our partnership parameters, including potential education- and workforce-focused advocacy trips.
