Staff from UNITE-LA traveled to Dallas, TX, last month to attend the 2023 National College Attainment Network (NCAN) Conference.

While there, Matthew Moor, manager, Postsecondary Initiatives, led a group discussion on UNITE-LA’s work with California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), enhancing the transfer process for students. Matt’s presentation on the work detailed UNITE-LA’s efforts to better serve students through rethinking the structure of CSUDH’s transfer process, including outreach, financial aid and advising. The audience engaged with questions on the conditions that allow for this work, success rates to date and plans for scaling.
