UNITE-LA’s National Strategic Partnerships (NSP) team participated in the Grantmakers for Education annual conference in Atlanta, GA, in mid-October.

The theme of the conference, In Pursuit of Justice, Creating Contexts to Thrive, aligned with UNITE-LA’s policy, systems change and programmatic efforts to improve economic and social outcomes for marginalized talent, cradle through career. The equitable credential attainment project that UNITE-LA’s NSP team supports, in partnership with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, was selected to be featured in two sessions. Education funders learned how chambers of commerce, community colleges and community-based organizations were partnering to increase credential attainment for students of color in seven communities across the country.
