Join us in welcoming our L.A. City Angeleno Corps Interns, Melody Flores, Stephy Reyes and Emmanuel Yoque, who started their 10-month internships last month.
- Melody, a second-year college student with a psychology major, grew up in Southeast Los Angeles, and has experienced first-hand the struggle to get in touch with academic support systems. She chose to work at UNITE-LA to continue to provide academic support and awareness to students from her "communida." Melody is supporting LA Youth at Work and the Cleantech Academy.
- Stephy, a senior at USC studying cognitive science and applied analytics, was first introduced to UNITE-LA as a participant of the FIKA Academy. During her internship, she hopes to make an impact in creating inclusive spaces for youth of Los Angeles wanting to pursue careers in tech. She is working with our Tech Pathways programming.
- Emmanuel, a senior at USC studying Music in Vocal Arts and a Minor in Italian was born and raised in South Los Angeles, where his passions have developed in music performance and social change. He’s excited to work with UNITE-LA because he loves that the organization is actively combating the inequalities in education and the workforce. Emmanuel will be supporting with Step into Tech, My Pathway to Health and LARC programming.
