Last month, UNITE-LA joined workforce partners in Oakland for the statewide launch of the Building Opportunities and Optimizing Skills for Transitions (BOOST) Project.

The convening, hosted by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and MDRC, brought together grantees from across the state to collaborate on strategies to strengthen career pathways for opportunity youth and young adults. Funded through EDD’s Opportunity Young Adult Career Pathway Program (OYACPP), BOOST supports programs that improve employment outcomes and reduce persistent economic inequities for young Californians.
UNITE-LA was proud to represent our three EDD-funded career pathway programs—My Pathway to Health, Step into Tech and the LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy—during this two-day kickoff focused on learning, collaboration and innovation.
