Last month, UNITE-LA participated in a statewide focus group hosted by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), as part of a research project funded by the Gates and Tipping Point Foundations.

The Workforce Systems team is excited to share the long-awaited release of Centering Youth, Strengthening Systems: A Case Study on Workforce Engagement for Opportunity Youth, developed by the L.A. Opportunity Youth Collaborative (OYC), of which UNITE-LA is a partner.

At the end of June, Gov. Newsom and the Legislature reached a final agreement on the 2025-26 State Budget. UNITE-LA’s Policy team summarized key cradle-through-career investments and policy changes that were included in the budget.

UNITE-LA signed on to the CA for U.S. Coalition statement, joining other influential business, labor, faith and philanthropy leaders who came together to condemn the ongoing ICE raids and to call for meaningful immigration reform.
